More than 450 years ago, the granddaughter of Sultan Prabu Amangkurat of the Mataram II dynasty, Nye Ageneg Djojo Rejoso, developed most of the martial art of Merpati Putih. The three sons of the Princess specialized in specific study areas. One son specialized in arts, the next in martial arts, and the third in internal medicine. With their mother’s guidance, the brothers helped form the secret Indonesian martial art.

4. Regular Meditation Practice

In Merpati Putih, only the kids have a belt ranking system. For the adults, we all wear the same red belt. However, you have the opportunity to move up the rankings and receive a small stripe at the end of your belt.
